Excellent well-illustrated biogarphy of the Czechoslovak motocross champion Arnost Zemen.
From 1955 to 1967 Arnost represented his country in motocross, enduro and trial, winning eight national titles and collecting ten gold medals and one silver medal from his eleven appearances at the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE). Additionally, he also won the Silver Vase twice and finished as runner up on three occasions at the ISDE as part of his national team. Zemen claimed victories at World Championship and International motocross events too.
After retiring from racing Arnost was actively involved in the sport as an official, serving as the chairman of his native motocross commission for several years and was elected to become a member of the FIM Motocross Commission. In recognition of his many years of loyal service Arnost Zemen was made an honorary member of the FIM Motocross Commission.
