Super well-illustrated.
Eintracht Frankfurt's 1959 German Championship win, the "Game of the Century" against Real Madrid in 1960, and the football miracles of 1999 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern and 2003 against SSV Reutlingen are outstanding matches that every Eintracht supporter immediately thinks of when asked to name their club's "great games." But these are by no means the only highlights in Eintracht Frankfurt's history.
Two renowned Eintracht historians present 59 great matches from 114 years of play. Among them are encounters that are hardly known today, but whose performances by Eintracht in those games certainly warrant their inclusion. The descriptions of the matches are supplemented with statistics and photos from the games. Portrait photographs of the Frankfurt players who featured are also included.
In addition, special chapters recall many other encounters in which perhaps no top performances were to be admired, but which are special due to certain circumstances, for example due to record facts, a thriller-like course of play, derby character, scandals that have taken place or opponents with big names.
