Various members of the club served in Italy and in the fight against the German submarines off the Brazilian coast. Vasco Da Gama also served the cause by giving financial and material aid to the F.E.B. The book also features letters written by Vasco members serving on the Italian front. An interesting book on the little known Brazilian involvement in World War II.
